Sherry Studinski

Meet Sherry Studinski

In November of 2008, I went from being a temporary associate at Yaskawa to being an actual full-time associate. I was so excited to join this company. The stability, the endless possibilities for growth, the benefits, and the clean and quiet work atmosphere were some of the reasons for my excitement. My title was Assembler C and I worked on the High Horse Power (HHP) line. As time went on I moved from department to department learning everything I could. Some of my favorite times were working on prototypes with Eric Manning Sr. He taught me A LOT!!

When the opportunity for the position of line lead presented itself, I decided to apply and never thought I would actually be picked. I was the line lead for the T1 line, Motoman, and Motion for just under 2 years when I moved over to the wall mount area. I worked there until a little over a year ago when I was approached and asked if I wanted to take on another challenge, a full-time position devoted to training, I accepted.

I spent the last year re-vamping our orientation process and creating a training line where we will be able to take the orientation to a new level. Not only will new associates learn about Yaskawa’s history, chain of command, safety, standards, and processes, they will also assemble a couple of units before they go the production line.

I spent a considerable amount of time working with the line leads and line trainers in creating a more uniform training process on the line. We broke down the jobs into small pieces so as not to overwhelm new associates and created a process to ensure everyone gets more uniform training. I will continue to look for more ways to improve.

I could not have gotten where I am without the help of a great number of Yaskawa “family” members being there to encourage, guide, mentor and support me and I cannot thank everyone enough!! I cannot imagine working anywhere else and have no desire to work anywhere else.

When I am not at work I enjoy playing the piano, riding my motorcycle, kayaking, hiking, and spending time with family. I have one daughter, three grandchildren and of course……my fur babies!! My other passion is raising money to protect wildlife and their habitat and to help out animal shelters and animal rescues.
